Will scars remain? | Show info
Incisions are small and done in discrete areas, so they are hardly noticeable. In this case, incisions are done around the border of areola (periareolar), leaving a small scar almost unnoticeable. A second incision in done vertically, from the base of the areola down to the base of the breast, it will take some time for this scar to reduce, lessen and appear less noticeable. In some cases, a third incision is needed; this follows the natural curve of the crease beneath the breast (sub mammary incision), so in this way it is the breast the one that hides the scar.
